Here's a classic beauty - a National Reso-Phonic Vintage Steel Tricone that's in excellent shape!!!
To quote National Reso-Phonic:
"The Vintage Steel Tricone was designed for players who prefer the tone of a steel body, but want the look and feel of a plated guitar. The name “Vintage Steel” refers to the plating process. The satin-nickel plating on each Vintage Steel instrument is designed to look aged with use and the passage of time."
This Vintage Steel Tricone is in excellent shape. The neck, fretboard, headstock, tuners, and frets are in pristine condition, with no fret wear. The satin-nickel plated steel body is also in excellent shape, with minor signs of use.
The Vintage Steel Tricone has a satin-nickel plated finish that is not only beautiful, but does not chip or scuff like the painted finishes found on the Polychrome, Triolian, and other painted National Reso-Phonic Tricones.
The neck, fretboard, headstock, tuners, and frets are pristine, with no fret wear. The action is low and easy to play - a real bonus on a resonator guitar!
We just installed a fresh set of National Reso-Phonic factory strings - John Pearse #790NR, Phosphor Bronze Wound Spanish Neck Resophonic, 13-56, strings. These are the exact same strings National Reso-Phonic installs on the Vintage Steel Tricone.
So, right out of the case, this beauty will be ready sing!
The factory hardshell case is in excellent condition with minor signs of use.
This National Reso-Phonic Vintage Steel Tricone is a classic and beautiful instrument - a blues, bluegrass, folk, alternative, and fingerstyle player's delight.
